Baffinland holding Holiday Feasts in North Baffin Communities

Baffinland Iron Mines Corporation (Baffinland) will be holding community feasts in Arctic Bay, Clyde River, Hall Beach, Igloolik, and Pond Inlet from December 13-17. Each community feast will consist of catered holiday favourites and country food, prizes, and more. The events are part of Baffinland’s inaugural Community Christmas Feasts.
“These events provide an opportunity for Baffinland to give back to the communities for their continued support and to come together to celebrate what we’ve achieved together over the last year,” said Brian Penney, Baffinland president and CEO. “Included in these accomplishments is Inuit hiring at the mine, which increased by more than 50% in 2018.”
At each event, Baffinland will also be recognizing some of the significant accomplishments of some of its Inuit employees. A diverse team from Baffinland will be at each event to answer any questions community members may have about the Company and its plans for 2019 and beyond, including the Phase 2 expansion.
