Baffinland and the Qikiqtani Inuit Association to hold Annual Project Review Forum April 17 and 18 in Hall Beach

Baffinland and the Qikiqtani Inuit Association (QIA) are holding the Annual Project Review Forum for the Mary River Mine on April 17 and 18 in Hall Beach. The forum provides an opportunity for representatives from Baffinland, QIA, and the five North Baffin communities to come together to discuss Project related issues.

During the two-day forum, both Baffinland and QIA will present on their respective updates from the last year. The presentations will provide an overview of 2017 activities related to employment and training, environmental monitoring programs, mine operations, and more.

With elder and youth representatives from each of the North Baffin communities in attendance, the forum also provides an opportunity for residents of the communities to ask questions directly to Baffinland and QIA representatives.

The forum is open to the public, and we encourage Hall Beach residents to attend.
